I understand
wanting to write a book that you think will help people, however if a book is
poorly written then the writer will most likely frustrate the reader. This the case for Leadership Challenges: A Collection of Candid Experiences by Cole Herring.
This book lacks creativity
on all levels with a major downfall being the vagueness of the passages which
makes the reading boring and sketchy. The author states he wants to protect the
identity of the writers and contributors but there is not enough information given in the
passages to appreciate what the subject is saying.
The author, I’m
sure had good intentions but it’s just bad writing, in conveying what the
contributors have to say and it’s the whole book.
There is one good
thing I can say about the book. Herring picked good categories to discuss but
all were severely undeveloped. If you get this book, just read the conclusions
of each section, there’s more information there than most of the passages.
I give this book 1
ankh. I received a free copy of the book for my honest opinion. I don’t recommend this
book.
